HALLELUJAH

I never thought I would see the day! My writing portfolio is FINISHED. I am very happy with it and can see it as being a very helpful resource to me in the future. I'm very proud of how it turned out. The differences in skill level between my original WRA 210 page and my final site is quite observable. I can't believe how much I now know how to do concerning CSS and HTML. It is always nice to take a class and be able to visually see how much you've learned and take something as useful as this website away from it. Thanks for the wonderful times and unreal amount of stress WRA 210, this is our final goodbye, it's been real.

The final change I made to my site was adding more to the sample writing page. I added two more writings and descriptions of each writing piece. I think I chose a wide variety of writings by including two group projects detailing how to create an identity, one paper about making rhetorical arguments through ethos and pathos, and my last one was an American Sign Language documentation project. I also updated my contact info page to look a little better and have a direct email link.

Other additions I have made changed my design blog page. Originally I just had it that if you clicked on the "design blog" tab it would take you right to this exact page. However, I read over the assignment sheet for the final and realized it needed to be a html page with a style sheet, just like my other tabs. I'm glad I realized this. Now, I have a design blog page that takes you to another sub page like my other tabs and has a description of the journal and a link to click and be brought here.

I've only been at the union for an hour or so but have made a lot of progress with my site. I did change the main image to the pen and trees one that I posted a few days ago. So I'm glad the image is getting use since I didn't use the banner with that image. The other picture was originally of Paris at night time and was pretty but I suppose not exactly relevant.

I just got to the union and don't intend on leaving until my site is finished. I really hope it can turn out the way I'd like and have envisioned it. I am thinking of changing the main graphic on my homepage, maybe to the image that I posted in here a few days ago, but I think it might look distorted because I'm thinking it isn't the correct size. Maybe I can be tech savvy and find a way to scale it down.

sunday morning!

I guess it's not morning since it's technically 1:58 pm. Morning just constitutes as the time before I actually get out of bed and start being productive.. obviously. I am hoping there are no strange hours at the Union's computer lab so that I'll be able to go and be productive today. I could probably look online but this seems like a lot of effort so I shall pray that I'm just lucky and it's open for me. I have put a few more papers on my flash-drive (from last semester) to add to my website so hopefully it's headed in the right direction.

hello

I'm taking the day off from WRA 210, but figured I could still update my design journal. So I guess I'm not really taking the day off.. oh well. Now that mod 5 is finished all I have left is fixing my website. I need to decide beforehand how I want to adjust it. I think I'd like to add more sample writing pieces considering I only have three, and maybe add a description about what each writing is about. I'm not sure what else I could add to my resume tab or contact tab but I will spend some time looking at it tomorrow. For now, I will sit on my couch, watch Pearl Harbor, and eat salsa. See ya.
